Adoption Takeaway Cards

I have had the opportunity to create adoption takeaway cards for our foster dogs. These cards enable the volunteers to hand a card to any prospective adopters. We have found these to be quite effective, as we actually received calls the following week after the adoption events.

A script I created after 2 weeks of intense diabetes research. This character is a culmination of the experiences, emotions, behaviors and characteristics of diabetes patients from the US and the UK. Presented pharmaceutical developers, reps, sales force and doctors so they could better understand, therefor treat diabetes patients properly.

Pit Bull Holiday Card

I used a photo that I had taken of one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever had the opportunity to meet for our holiday card. (I created the card in Illustrator and had it printed through Shutterfly). Maybe’s mom did not tell us that she is a writer for an online dog magazine. It was very kind of her to write an article about the card.

Wrote, edited, proofed, and mocked-up a multitude of Prego (a division of Campbell’s) projects while employed at an advertising agency in Minneapolis. In addition, did all of Prego’s pre-production photography. Primarily worked on ad inserts and coupons.

The Prego challenge? With each ad, insert or coupon, making their sauce look and read like gourmet Italian food. It’s sauce in a jar. But boy, we sure made people think it was something special.

*Actual Prego files proprietary, and not released to employees. Instead, a photo of delicious Italian food.

Artist of the Month

Every month, I have the opportunity to create an artist statement for one special dog. In order to write the statement, I must truly know every aspect of the dog’s personality. The owner’s are usually shocked as to how well the statement truly embodies their family member.

In the lobby, a painting created by the dog is hung, along with a photo of the dog (which I capture) and the artist statement. In addition, a notification of our talented artist is placed on Facebook so the parents can brag to all of their friends.

Killer clown card.

Potential uses for this card:
• Give this card to your siblings – also afraid of clowns.
• Send this card to any human with good instincts or a sixth sense. THEY know the clowns are BAD.
• Give your neighbor girl this card and five bucks when her family goes to the circus. Tell her if a clown gets within arms reach of her, hand him one – then run like hell.
• Give one to your uncle. He always liked to dress as a clown. Oh gosh, it’s all coming together now, isn’t it…
• Suspect your next door neighbor is a serial killer? Set this card in his mailbox. Note his unusual response upon opening the card – while hopping into his dirty van with no rear windows.

Dog of the Week

Each week, I special dog is named Dog of the Week in our facility. I write about the dog, take photos, and the dog has its 15 minutes of fame (well, a week of fame), on our website.

In addition, I announce the lucky dog on Facebook. This gives the parents an opportunity to share their joy with all of their friends.

First Day Cards

Before I arrived at Every Dog, all of their client collateral materials had been printed in house on colored card stock. (You will see an example of the OLD spa card on the left).

I updated the collateral at Every Dog. While I was required to utilize the existing “Rover” dog logo, I designed accessories and new environments for Rover, and completely redesigned the cards. I then had the cards professionally printed.

I designed an entirely new sleepover / report card for Every Dog. On the back of each is a list of services that new clients might not be aware that we offer.

All of the collateral has been very well received by our clients, and the handlers enjoy using the new cards.
